“Riverside have worked on the Tata Steel sites (Port Talbot, Llanwern, Orb & Trostre) for approximately 20 years and under my departments control for the best part of 10 years. I have personally managed this Integrated Works Air Conditioning contract with covers widely diverse range of units and extreme conditions in with they operate (over 1500 units across the sites). They also install many different types of equipment within Tata Steel and are recognised Tier 1 contractor for heating, ventilation and plumbing services.
They provide a first class service whether carrying out routine maintenance, installation, emergency call outs and even bespoke engineering that’s provided from the Bridgend Head Office. Riverside operate within strict Corus Contractor governance principles that we require as these drive best safety, operational and commercial aspects of their specific contract. They have an excellent H&S record whilst working in difficult situations and contribute in full to our strict H&S regime.
Riverside have a very strong management team that is lead by the MD Nick John ably supported by his brother and Director, Chris John with his senior management team being led by Eddie Daniels. They are extremely responsive to change, particularly supportive in the current economic climate and always lead in terms of technology that supports our business.

“Working in Project Design & Management for 40 years in many industries, I have seen many standards of quality produced by contractors in their installations. Recently a client required extensive improvements within their dairy processing plant, including an efficient extraction system. Due to the existing Pipework and other obstructions and restrictions, the ductwork had to be purpose made, and had to fit into a hygienic production environment.
Riverside at Bridgend were contacted to submit a quotation for the extraction equipment and installation. They were awarded the contract and working within the constraints imposed in fitting around production requirements, the contract was completed to the satisfaction of the client, and the workforce who are benefiting from a clean environment.

“We are the provider of maintenance and all aspects of facility management and project work across the site at Neath Port Talbot Hospital and currently use sub contractors to carry out specialist works.
Riverside currently provide a varied portfolio of works and have recently carried out installation projects on site to upgrade and refurbish ventilation and ductwork systems and completed to an exceptional standard.
In addition to this they provide us with maintenance contract to the air conditioning and refrigeration and have persisted to deliver a very professional service. The availability of an engineer for an emergency breakdown has always been met by Riverside which is a very important factor in a Facilities Management Contract as we have rectification periods. Water Temperature Monitoring, Legionella Testing and Thermostatic Mixing Valves Maintenance are carried out monthly and work is carried out to latest HTM’s.
Riverside provide reports that are a contractual requirement and they have always delivered high standard documentation to support the work carried out and certificates for the commissioning.
Riverside are a recommended company as they deliver high standard work, skilled engineers and high standard reports. We have always had very punctual engineers on site and they work completely unsupervised whilst carrying out works that are not project related, as all projects are managed by our on site project supervisor.
