Riverside deliver £1.4m mechanical and electrical services package on new Swansea primary school

Riverside announce successful delivery of mechanical and electrical services to the new Burlais Primary School in Swansea for Dawnus Construction and City & County of Swansea Council.

Riverside were appointed as Tier 1 sub-contractor on the project in mid 2014. Works commenced on-site for them in Autumn 2014; with practical completion subsequently and successfully being achieved for the project on time in August 2015 – ready for the new school term!

Teaching staff are already settling in to the new school buildings, which include a fantastic central school learning zone, a dining hall, and social hub spaces – all complete with underfloor heating.

There’s also a performance hall with state-of-the-art sound and lighting facilities, and a new sports pavilion building.

Riverside’s Managing Director, Nick John, says: “We have worked collaboratively with City & County of Swansea to understand its services requirements for this project, and to deliver their aspirations for the facilities. We are proud to have played a major part in delivering a state-of-the-art educational building that the local community will benefit from.”

Burlais Primary School will open to pupils in September 2015.
