Supporint UK weather centre with upgraded ventilation system

Riverside has partnered with major international facilities management company CBRE to provide commercial ventilation system support for a UK National Weather Centre.

With its HQ based in Exeter, this facility employs around 1,400 people at this location, with even more staff based in offices across the UK. Since the building is just over 20 years old, it is critical that its facilities are kept up to date and that regulations are met. This guarantees the safety of the staff and the building, as well as the efficient running of the office.

We caught up with Riverside’s Ventilation Manager, Gary Owens, on his recent visit to HQ:

“Riverside were approached two years ago to carry out ductwork modifications to the existing ventilation system. Our ventilation team were able to support and make the necessary improvements to ensure compliance with current building regulations.

From a very successful first visit, we were asked to return on two more occasions, carrying out further works to help improve their ventilation system. Most recently, we carried out cleaning of their ventilation system in order to comply with the TR19 standard, which is essential for ensuring the safety, hygiene and legal compliance within commercial and public buildings.

We have maintained an excellent partnership over the last two years and continue to support the client with all ventilation work going forward. A big thank you to our ventilation team, who were able to complete all work efficiently, within budget, and to the specified timescales.”
